Walker Sands is looking for a passionate and experienced content expert to help fuel the success of our internal content department. We are looking for someone who not only has the writing chops, but the management and strategic expertise to shape our content strategy and structure within the agency.

The director of content strategy will serve as the operations lead for our internal content teams. Working closely with Tim Morral, our director of editorial content, you will manage five direct reports and manage the entire content team, focusing on utilization, sales, client relations and the day-to-day oversight of our PR and digital content experts.
While you will not be responsible for the direct production of content, you will counsel our content and account teams on strategy, planning and processes. You will also work with the director of editorial content to help ensure the quality of the content we provide for our clients.
Working out of our Chicago office, you will interact with everyone from entry-level content specialists to our vice presidents and executive team. As the director of content strategy you will advocate for the content teams, both from a strategic and operational standpoint. We want you to champion not only the content we produce, but those who work internally to produce it.
