Sales Manager

Walker Sands is looking to hire a sales manager to help grow our Chicago and San Francisco offices.  In conjunction with our VP of business development, you will get to know the who's who of the B2B tech world, help foster client relationships and work in a challenging yet supportive environment.  

The Walker Sands sales manager will assist our VP of business development with everything from the initial pitch to closing the deal.  As a sales team, you will be working with our executives to develop and achieve company wide sales goals.  

We are looking for someone who isn’t afraid to be disciplined, organized and assertive in their sales objectives. Having a positive and determined attitude is key to succeeding in this role. 

Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree with 4-5 years of professional experience.
  • Marketing or public relations background required.
  • Energetic self-starter with a passion for sales.
  • Understanding of innovation and technology trends.
  • Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Salesforce experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

The sales manager will be responsible for the following:

  • Following up on inbound leads and cultivating new leads through proactive.
  • Outbound prospecting, networking, and cold calling.
  • Penetrating key verticals and target accounts.
  • Creating proposals and presentations for prospective clients.
  • Tracking activities and recording information in Salesforce.com.
  • Providing regular updates to management regarding opportunities, trends and challenges.
  • Collaborating with services teams on best practices and solutions.

This position will include a base salary, access to our full host of benefits as well as commission based incentives.
